If you’ve been following me on Instagram lately (follow along if you haven’t already!), you know that we’re no longer residents of Parma, the namesake of this site. Out of my 34 years on planet Earth, more than half of them have been spent in Ohio’s seventh largest city. While it hasn’t always had the best reputation, I’ve always taken pride in being born there, raised there, educated there and in starting our family there. We had a great run, but we’re on to a new chapter! While incorporating the name of our new suburb is tempting, it’s time to lose the geographic ties and get more personal!
So, what am I calling this online space now?
I’ve been a lot of things in the past seven years: a mom, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a yoga teacher, an event professional, a marketer, a blogger, a writer, an editor, a crazy dog lady. (Okay, I’ve always done been that last one!) But I’ve always been me. I’ve always been Alicia. So, that’s what I’m going with: Always Alicia.
So while I start making the switch, here’s what you need to know for now:
- I’ll be calling the blog Always Alicia, but you will be able to access it at http://www.aliciamhansen.com
- I’m working with a good friend/mulit-talented IT and photography professional to make the switch as smooth as possible
- All my social handles will remain as they are now: @aliciamhansen on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram, and @aliciamhansen1 on Pinterest
- The content of this blog really won’t change. I’ll still be sharing our lives here in the Greater Cleveland area: the places we go, the events we attend, the causes we support, the baby we are raising, the food we are eating, the guest blogging I’m writing and more. I’m also hoping the rebrand will open me up for more opportunities to open up about the topics I’ve really wanted to talk about — more on those soon!
So, as always, as I have been since 2009 — thank you for reading. For supporting. For being “there” — online and offline. My gratitude is endless to you — no matter if you read one post or many. It means the world to me to be able to share it all with you — past, present and future.
Stay tuned for updates. Until then, enjoy your weekend and we’ll see you around CLE!
p.s. The Cleveland Flea (where Baby B and me took the photo above) is this weekend — get out and enjoy, y’all!
