my 2016 Holiday Gift Guide

It’s that time of year! For the past two years, I’ve shared my Holiday Gift Guide — here’s 2014 and 2015. They were such huge hits, so I’ve gathered up Round Number Three for inspiration this December… and just in time for next weekend! (My apologies for the delay this year — I’ve had my hands full with this little gal!)

GIFTS FOR THE FOOD LOVER

Chef inspired and crafted creations like Fire Spice Company’s spice mixes as developed by Chef Doug Katz and Chef Dante Boccuzzi’s pasta sauces.

A pack of pierogies straight out of Parma from Perla Homemade Delights.

Backattack Snacks‘ The Office Pack featuring four different flavored almond offerings.

Pope’s Kitchen‘s Hot Sauce Gift Pack featuring the Smoking River, Whiskey River, Smoked Tequila and Burning River varieties.

A coffee subscription from Rising Star Coffee, available in monthly and weekly shipments.

A pack of specialty handmade food products from Zestive Gourmet Gifts, local to Chagrin Falls.

A Custom Six Pack of Unique Beers from Lilly Handmade Chocolates (Not a bad place to pick up some sweets either. Try any of their chocolate barks. Or truffles. Or anything.)

GIFTS FOR THE YOGA ENTHUSIAST

A class pass to your yogi’s favorite studio never goes unused. Not sure where they practice? Search the MindBody app to find the closest studios to their home and office.

More of a home practice kind of guy or gal? I adore YogaGlo.com, only $18 per month.

A high quality yoga mat goes a LONG way. My favorite brand is Manduka and if I was in the market for a mat this season, I’d be purchasing either the Manduka PRO Dynamic in this stunning marbled purple or their eKO Lite mat in this bold two-toned fortitude style.

ANYTHING off of Beyond Yoga‘s gift guide. My next yoga pants splurge will be on a pair of their high wasted options like these Triple Mesh leggings.

A handmade mala by my great friend Ylonda would make for an extra special gift. Her options are available at her site, Awake To My Soul.

On the top of Hans’ yoga list? A bolster. YogaAccessories.com has some solid options.

GIFTS FOR THE DOG LOVER — & THEIR DOG

If you’re pups a chewer, you can’t beat our new found love, the Nylabone. Our power chewer pup has several of them but they’re all holding up to his mouthing!

A Wolfpack Supply dog leash. We picked up one of the 10 foot Granite Leashes for Frank, but find ourself using it for Grady instead!

A custom designed sweatshirt, coffee mug or holiday ornament with your dog’s likeness by BossDogsCo. (I had a mug made with Grady’s mug for my brother’s birthday last year and it’s still one my favorite gifts I’ve ever given. Check out all of their items here.)

Some more of my Instagram finds: Pawtector from Natural Dog Company, a LOVE pillow from Righteous Hound (I have one as given to me as a gift, I adore it!) and this honest #crazydoglady confession via t-shirt.

A funny pet costume is always good for a hearty laugh. This Reindeer Dog Costume will do the trick. (At least click through to see the look on the fuzz’s face who was talked into modeling it, ha!)

Or take the money you’d spoil your pup with and give it to a local animal rescue to help even more pets. Some suggestions? Parma Animal Shelter (where I used to volunteer with my mom as a kid), Cleveland Animal Protective League (where my mom adopted her cat, Scout) and GM HART Animal Rescue (where my mom adopted her dog, Chase).

GIFTS FOR THE CLEVELANDER

A piece of jewelry crafted by a local maker such as Hannah Hoffman, Liza Michelle JewelryOcéanie or Souls Repurpose (all discovered via the Cleveland Flea).

Perfect for your favorite sports fan: apparel and other items featuring images from the Cleveland Cavaliers Championship Parade by Emily Roggenburk Photography.

Chagrin Valley Soap and Salve has some great options for bath and body products. Not sure what to give? Their Help Me Choose page is a great resource to narrow down your options.

For my fellow Parma residents: CLE Clothing Co.‘s Moon Over Parma tee is a must have if you can laugh at yourself/your town. White socks not included.

Looking for a piece of home decor to give as a gift? I have always loved Wine & Design‘s options. Plus you get to shop for (& sip on) wine at the same time. Everyone wins!

This is a great list. I was trying to think of the last gift ideas for my two high school age brothers. Your foodie options gave me some great ideas.

My Christmas list had Inner Bliss pass and a Psycle pass. Along with some high rise leggings… Gotta love the high rise.

Have a happy holiday with that beautiful family.
